Purna Kumar Rai

Pastor Purna Kumar Rai is one of the most influential personality in Churches Network Nepal. He was born in 1950 in Dasami in Panchthar and later step down to Terai (plain) at where he met Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior. He was sick and miraculously healed by the power of prayer and believed in Jesus for salvation. He was tortured for his faith and was persecuted by his people.
God used him to establish churches in 6 different places in east Nepal and led more then 1000 people to the lord and still leading. He is filled with passion for the gospel, and don't care about the money, food, home and health.
Pastor Purna Kumar Rai is senior leader of the Churches Network Nepal.

Pastor Reuben Rai was born in 1975 and is very active in different types of ministry around him. Churches Network Nepal is currently being led by him since 2005 when he started the Church and network in a small room in Balkumari Kathmandu. Reuben and Rita and their two children Rosanna and Reuel reside in Kathmandu near Airport.
Reuben experienced a hard time when starting ministry in Kathmandu without food and money. He is a man of tolerance, optimistic and hardworking man to encourage and lead leaders in ministry. He is involved in translation, bible distribution, sports, evangelism, church planting, supporting pastors and children, guest house, school and orphanage.
Pastor Reuben reside in Kathmandu with his family but travels all around Nepal to spread the gospel.

Pastor Bishnu Moktan was one of the first Basic Bible School student which was organized in Kathmandu in 2007. He was able to start the Church on rent through help of the Churches Network. He got married and have two children now. He is basically a government school teacher as well as Pastor the Church in Manahari, a small town on the East West Highway in Makwanpur.
His contribution towards the strategy making in the network is valuable and is committed person. His Church is being organized in rented building in the small town of Manahari, south of Kathmandu.
Pastor at Pavitra Church in Ramche-1, Palase,
Pastor Chitra Praja lives and serve local Church in mountain of Makwanpur in the central Nepal. There is a two hours seasonal road through the river from Manahari which is located in the east west highway. Praja people, previously were called Chepang, who lived in jungle and survived with food they find in Jungle. God's grace is on Praja people now. Many Praja people have been coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal lord and savior.
The place Pastor Chitra serve the Lord is in the mountain where running water is a problem and thus they can't cultivate the land for Rice, which is the favorite food in South Asia. Main corps in the place is Corn and black wheat.
Pastor Chitra and others serve the lord despite geographical disadvantage.

Pradip Rai and his wife Mina are perfect example of couple ministry. Where ever they go, they go together and are never separated. They have started to build a Church in their place to worship the lord. Healing ministry, hospitality, respect and example are some of the good character we have seen on them.
Pradip and his wife Mina, both of them are government teacher by profession and a very committed believer in the Lord. They have started to build the Church in their place to accommodate more people. Church building is needed so that every one, like low caste people, untouchable and Brahmins could come together for service. Every year dozens of new converts are baptized through his Church ministry.
Mr. Pradip is one of the prominent leader in the Church community. He is soon going to be a ordain Pastor in the area.
Sujan Praja was one of the first Basic Bible School student in Kathmandu. There was a dispute over a Church building which he was Pastor. He did not wanted any further confusion over the ownership of the Church, so he wisely handed over the position for them who wanted to take the Pastorship. He now planted a small fellowship near his village.
Pastor Sujan Praja needs your prayer and encouragement as there is no vehicle and transportation to go to his ministry areas. Ps. Sujan is humble and receptive to God's word. He and his wife have three children and 4 orphans in his new Church.
Pastor at Shanti Church in Kothalitar, Ninkha, Bharta,
Pastor Sukraman Praja was one of the first student in Basic Bible School which we organize in 2007 in Kathmandu. The insight he received in the School inspired him to stand firm in the faith, eventually that zeal turned him to be a Church leader.
When he began to preach the gospel, which doctor was not happy. So he arise a dispute in the subject of faith and beat him and burned his Church. But Sukraman faithfully remainded in the faith and shared the gospel to persecutor. Two years later that witchdoctor also accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior.
Pastor Sukraman serve the Lord in a place which is really isolated with the electricity, market and transportation. Summer is difficult season for the people living that area because all means of road is blocked by River.
Padam Bahadur Parali Rai

Pastor Padam Bahadur was ordain in 2012 in Annual Conference in Kathmandu as Pastor for Jiwan Jyoti (Life Light in English) Church for Dasami, Panchthar. He is 43 years old and still not married. They build a temporary Church in just 58 US dollar.
He was a student of Basic Bible School in Kathmandu in second batch in 2008, after that he went back to his village and share the gospel with people and the Lord blessed him with many new souls.
A woman, not christian, witnessed the power of the prayer in healing of her infant son and told all the village people about how good God is, and as a result many came to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior.
Pratap Praja (Chepang)

Pastor Pratap Praja was ordain for the ministry of Pastor in the Church in 2012 in Annual Conference in Kathmandu for Anugraha Church which was started since 2009 in Basamadi. Mr. Pratap also works in Prime Life Insurance Company as a development officer in Hetauda.
Pastor Pratap Praja is young Pastor with full of zeal and enthusiasm for the Lord's work. Praja is married and have two children.

Film Show Ministry
Soloman Rai is director to the Jesus Film Ministry, a film show ministry and an outreach wing of Churches Network Nepal. He has traveled around Nepal, from plain area of the south to the people living in high altitude in the mountain. Thousands of people across Nepal has heard the gospel of Jesus Christ through the mediums of film project ministry.
They uses loud speaker, projector, curtain, microphones and group of young people and carry the equipments which normally is heavy and hike the hills where there is no transportation to share the love of God in film. Even the remote and dark places of Nepal and people who have never ever heard the name of Jesus are hearing the gospel. Soloman also helps other ministry like Orphanage, School for poor in Ilam, Bible School and worship.
Soloman Rai joined the ministry in 2011 January and is active worker of the gospel. His main ministry is Jesus film show.

Suraj Samson Moktan lives and helps various ministries in Churches Network Nepal in Kathmandu. He heard the gospel through Sports ministry in 2010 and made Jesus Christ his lord and savior. He was able to lead his mother, brother and sister to the Lord and is still sharing the gospel around his circles. He is faithful, obedient and attentive to the work of the ministry.
Suraj Moktan serves in ministry as full time worker and some of his main works are to help in Bible Distribution, Church activities, Bible School and Guest House.
Suraj Moktan joined ministry in 2012 January and is active in his services. His main services are to maintain guest house, church activities, Bible school, Building the Church, grouping for worship and leading the youth as well as helping other ministries.

Hospitality, Bible Distribution, Assistant to Pastor
Rita Rai helps maintain the hospitality and the Nepal Home Stay, a guest house for the visitors and for Pastors, in Kathmandu. She is also the in-charge of the Church programs and house visits for prayer and Bible Study. Rita is hard working in preparing the food and washing the clothes of the guest and cleaning the rooms in the hostel. She is also in charge of the Bible Distribution Ministry, and receiving Bibles in the general post office.
Rita is active in Church ministry since it was started in 2004 and is full time available for the work of the ministry. Her main department is Hospitality, Bible Distribution and Church activities. She assist Reuben Rai in all types of ministry where it needs the most.

Sana Tara Community School
Pradip Rai is in-charge of the School for Poor Children in Dungdunge. His job vary from teaching the students in the school, carrying the stone for building, going to market to buy school supplies to cooking and helping the local church ministry then to traveling around when there is need to go for the lord's service. He is hard working brother and do not wait for somebody's command, he just understand what his role is and does it.
Pradip thinks of helping other people in need then he ever thinks of himself. He never demands for good food and cloth, he always happy to work any work and make other happy all the times.
Pradip stepped in ministry full time in 2011 and is full in-charge of the school for poor in Dungdunge Ilam, in East Nepal.

Shanti Moktan, age 22 in 2014, from Manahari in central Nepal show her interest to come and serve Children in the orphanage when she heard about the need of a staff. She finished her three years Bible College in 2014 and was teaching in Sunday School in Anugraha Church. She is helpful and loves the work of the Lord. She has joined the Orphanage in August 2014.
She is short in size but she has a very big heart for the poor children and orphans. We were praying for staffs and the Lord spoke on her heart to come and help in the orphanage. We said to her we don't have money to pay you and she said I don't come here to be served, I come here to serve.
Her service include cooking, washing, shopping, cleaning, bill payment, children's assignment, teaching Bibles to Children and leading in prayer and communication. Please pray for this wonderful lady and that children under her care would be godly and obedient and that they would fear the Lord.

Miss Laxmi Rai was born in September 19, 1991 in Hangum-9, Sano Nigale, near Dasami in Panchthar. Both of parents are not a believer yet. She attended the Basic Bible School in Kathmandu in 2010.
She is still the student in the College. She is shy girl but committed in her area of work. She is one of three girl who are teaching in Sana Tara Community School in Dungdunge in Ilam.
Her hobby is Literature and song.

Srijana Rai is still a students of Class 10 and will be joining the College soon, but her passion for disadvantaged children in Dungdunge has led her to the school to teach. She say she will continue to teach and also join her college.
Soon Laxmi Rai and Suk Bahadur gave birth to Srijana in April 1, 1995 in Dungdunge where the Sana Tara Community School is located. Her hobby is Music and to help others. She is also a good singer and dancer in Christian songs.

Jeny served as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader before she decided to help in the Children ministry in the orphanage. She finish her College and Bible College and she like to serve in House Church. Her father abandoned her and her mother when she was 5 years of age. Apart from her time in orphanage she would like to be a beautician in future. She is 25 and not married.
Jeny is passionate girl who loves cooking for the children. She joined the Orphanage in August 2014 along Shanti Moktan. Her role is vital in orphanage.
